OSX86

Pulled an all-nighter this weekend to get OS X installed on an x86 laptop. It’s running on a Fujitsu P7120 subnotebook - dual batteries and all. Hacked the kexts to support the GMA 900’s native res of 1280×768. Trying to get 10.4.4 with the custom extensions onto another partition, but the current 10.4.1 hates having another AF-type partition on the same drive. Bummer.

The good:
- It’s fast as hell
- No graphical glitches
- Support native resolution
- Sound works

The bad:
- Can’t close the screen as it won’t wake up from sleep
- Can’t boot it without an external monitor attached - once started up it can be disconnected
- No wireless

Click here for photos, with a photo of TuxPaint running on my 770 for the heck of it.
